ABM Training is focussed on personal and career development and we skill employees in a wide range of job roles. Apprentices often stay with ABM Training as they progress through their first job through to extended careers in leadership and management. Our portfolio of courses included provision at levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

ABM Apprenticeships
Adult Care Worker Apprenticeships
This Level 2 apprenticeship includes all of the basic training that is needed to get a new member of staff up and running and delivering excellent care. Our training is fully grounded in the 6Cs and builds employees’ technical caring skills as well as their confidence, compassion and self awareness. Participants complete the Level 2 Diploma in Care as a mandatory part of the course. When learners need it we include additional English and maths support too.
Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship is aimed at care supervisors and senior care workers – frontline staff who take the lead role in managing the delivery of a care plan. We cover all the core skills and competencies that will enable your employees to plan, encourage and support a person centred approach to care and to ensure that service users achieve their personal living goals. Participants complete the Level 3 Diploma in Care as a mandatory part of the course and when learners need it we include additional English and maths support too.
Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Apprenticeships
This Level 4 apprenticeship focusses on developing the specialist skills and knowledge enabling more experienced staff to take the lead in areas such as care needs assessment as well as inclusivity and safeguarding. ABM Lead Practitioners will take a leading role in coaching and mentoring others as well as assessing performance. The programme is grounded in a strong working knowledge the 6Cs and includes the Level 4 Diploma in Health Care.
Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeships
This is a Level 5 Apprenticeship programme aimed at people who are in management and leadership positions in the care sector and / or care homes. Key training includes: leadership styles; team management; performance management; health and wellbeing; safeguarding; change management; communication skills. Compliance and the safe delivery of services. Our course includes the Level Diploma in Leader and Management for Care.
Teaching Assistants
Our Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship programme is delivered by an expert team of subject specialists, skills tutors and visiting speakers. Learn more about how to support excellent teaching and learning in the classroom and take the first step towards becoming a qualified professional. We cover everything from the National Curriculum through styles and methods of learning, phonics and the use of learning technology.
Children Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeships
This Level 4 apprenticeship is all about the complex needs that children, young people and families often present as they negotiate complicated lives. We focus on the ‘6 Cs’ and how these guide best practice interventions, safeguarding and growth. Participants complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare as a mandatory part of the course and when learners need it we include additional English and maths support too.
Children, Young People and Families Manager Apprenticeships
This Level 5 apprenticeship programme delivers all the leadership and management skills needed to run a successful and dynamic service team. We look at theories and styles of leadership, performance management, the role of continuous professional development in the context of equality and inclusion, safeguarding and compliance. This is a stretching and challenging apprenticeships drawing on a wide range of specialist topics and key themes.
Team Leader and Supervisor Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship is like a ‘starter kit’ for team leaders, first-line managers and supervisors. Our apprenticeship programme covers: leadership styles; people management; negotiation skills; target setting, project management; equality and diversity and working with financial controls. Very useful across a variety of sectors.
Operational Manager Apprenticeships
Our Level 5 Operational Management apprenticeships builds the knowledge and skills that people need to successfully lead and manage complex teams. We cover everything from emotional intelligence to budget control, project management, performance management and everything in between ! Challenging, stretching, engaging and inspiring !
Business Administrator Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship is all about developing the capability of your key administrative staff. We focus on building the skills sets that your central admin need to keep your processes and procedures running smoothly. We look at business fundamental, ‘soft skills’ and bespoke technical training.
Customer Service Practitioner
This Level 2 apprenticeship trains entry level staff with the core skills that they need to be an effective Customer Service Practitioner. We increase the knowledge, skills, abilities and confidence of participants so that they are high performers with a “right first time” attitude who take ownership and responsibility for your products, processes or services.
Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship is all about creating positive customer relationships which proactively and effectively address queries and / or complaints whilst encouraging service use or purchases. We increase the knowledge, skills, abilities and confidence of participants so that they are high performers with a “right first time” attitude who take ownership and responsibility for your products, processes or services.
