Our programme of certificate and diploma courses is designed to cater to the needs of a variety of people. We offer course from Level 2 Awards and Level 2 Certificates through to full Level 3 Diploma qualifications. We are specialists in Care, Early Years and Education and you’ll be taught by a team of experienced professional trainers.
Your ABM certificate or diploma course is run by your course tutor. She or he will arrange for you to attend a series of virtual classrooms; ask you to compete a series of e-learning modules (at your own pace, in your own time); set and mark assignments and meet with you for 1-2-1 tutorials.
Your tutor is on call to help you through the course and we’ll also help you with English and maths qualifications if you don’t have them. The best bit ?

Teaching and Education

Level 2 Award: Support Work in Schools
This qualification prepares learners to work in a school setting and develops the knowledge needed to care for children and adolescents in a way that aids their learning and development.
The course covers the skills needed to work in the classroom and fulfil many different roles and covers a variety of tasks working directly with children and young people. This course is perfect for those looking to start a career as a teaching assistant and for those with no previous experience.

Level 2 Certificate: Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
This course has been designed to provide students with an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school or college environments. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting children and young people’s positive behaviour and communication and professional relationships.
The course is aimed at students working in roles that support pupils’ learning in primary, secondary or special schools, as well as colleges.
Course Length: 6 months

Level 3 Certificate: Supporting Teaching and Learning
The course is for people who want to work within the school sector and do not already possess a relevant Level 3 qualification. It will provide you with a ‘licence to practice’ unsupervised with children and young people within the school sector.
This qualification provides students with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of classroom support.
The qualification enables you to work with children and young people aged 5 – 19.

Level 2 Award in Care
This qualification is suitable if you are working or will be working under supervision. It will either qualify you to work with adults or will complement a wider programme of training, such as an apprenticeship. At Level 2 you should be able to use your knowledge, skills and ideas to complete clear tasks and tackle straightforward problems.
The programme is designed to provide you with an understanding of the basic aspects of health and social care and the factors affecting an individual’s health and well-being, as well as preparing you to either progress into employment or an apprenticeship, or to follow higher studies in health and social care.

Level 2 Certificate in Care
This course is suitable if you want to be able to work in a range of care settings. It allows you to gain an understanding of the diversity of work available in the care of vulnerable adults.
This course will support you to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a range of clinical healthcare support settings and in adult care environments.
It covers a wide range of areas including dementia awareness, mental health and well-being, supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and healthcare procedures.
It is an ideal first qualification if you are returning to study or wish to build on your skills.

Level 3 Diploma in Care
This course is suitable if you wish to train for a career in health and social care at level 3 or are currently working in a lead adult care worker role with adults in health and social care settings
It will develop the knowledge and skills you will need when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care procedures.
