Sue started working in Post-16 Education and Training in 1983 when she was a Business Administration tutor with Greenwich Training Workshop in South East London. Following an extended maternity break, she joined Bexley Training Group / Skills for Growth in the South East and worked in various roles there including developing, implementing and managing a second location on the historic Woolwich Arsenal site. Sue ended her time there in the role of Contract Manager. In 2000 she qualified in diagnosing dyslexia in adults and in 2001 qualified as a massage therapist.
Sue later QUEST Training, a small family training business in Kent, and as Contracts Manager helped them to develop a successful Apprenticeship offer before joining a growing and expanding ABM Training in 2017.
Sue has seen many changes in training programmes – the development of Modern Apprenticeships in 1995 to the apprenticeship programmes we have today – as well as variations in compliance and funding guidance.
Sue manages ABMs ESFA funding, our ILR submissions and compliance.
